DM Pack’s GEOS side-fill horizontal cartoners are automatic solutions that work with RSC or HSC pre-glued American-type cases. These machines offer an efficient and innovative process for packing single or multipack products in one box. The GEOS cartoning machine automatically opens, fills and closes the cases. Adjustments are motorised and automatic, which make format changes easier. The machine opens the case, groups the products by stacking them according to the desired configuration, and places them precisely in the box. The case’s side flaps are sealed with tape. The GEOS cartoning machine boasts a large operator-accessible case storage area. The loading system varies depending on the type of product to be packed. General characteristics

The horizontal cartoner for American-type cases has been designed to be placed downstream of packaging lines: it bundles together a group of products coming from a packaging machine by positioning them on several height levels with the front and depth of the rows being easily configurable from the panel. The multipack of products, formed by the loader with a stacker unit, is then pushed and inserted into the box formed by the machine itself. The filled box is then transported towards the outlet and the machine closes all flaps and 'tapes' them.
Optional: using the Hot -Melt gluing system to close the flaps. The machine consists of a loading conveyor belt, a pusher for forming the rows, a stacker to form the various levels, a box storage area, a box-opening unit, a pusher for inserting the multipack into the open box, a taping unit and outfeed belts.

Specific characteristics

The GEOS cartoner stands out for its compactness by taking up little room yet offering a high speed of up to 10 boxes per minute (standard) or up to 14 cartons per minute with the double box station. The motorised adjustments simplify the set-up process, and the fast changeover time allows the machine to quickly adapt to different box and product sizes. The easily-accessible adjustable parts, the movements on dovetail guides and the recirculating ball bearing slides allow for both a practical and reliable use of the machine.

The GEOS cartoning machine is operated by a user-friendly Siemens PLC which offers an intuitive interface for managing and controlling the case-packing process.
